Many here already know, but for those that don't, Dirty Bird is a Pontiac-powered Top Alcohol Funny Car. It's pretty much the only one of its "kind" in the world. As of now, we've had the car to several "races". Unfortunately, only once has there been a "worthy" opponent, at the Little Guy Nationals at VMP last May. There, the car set the current "record" of 6.52 @ 213*. Round 1, Pontiac "1", Hemi "0". It was a Brad Anderson Hemi, too Round 2 was different. Those guys were really embarrassed to get beat by an "upstart Pontiac"... They made a bunch of changes, and DID manage to beat Dave across the line this time, only to "bellow" a bunch of blue smoke right as the chute cam out. So, DB has earned his "wings"!
