'01 Blazer won't start (intermittent problem)

I turn the key all dash lights come on but will not start (makes no sound at all). Lights don't dim at all when the key is turned. After a while (could be 2min or 2hrs) it'll start without any problem whatsoever. Never a clicking sound or sound of a struggling starter. It either starts up immediately or won't make a sound.

Newer battery. I checked the charge when it started and appears the battery and charging system are fine.

Any ideas? Thanks for any info.

John

Check all battery cabels power and ground to starter.
When no start check for 12 volt start signal on purple wire to starter solenoid.
If 12 volts on it check starter or solenoid.
