loud roaring in right front tire.

i have a loud roaring between the center of the vehicle and the right front tire. i am trying to determine if it is the wheel bearing, or something in the transmission. tranny is not slipping, but roaring is very hard to pin point. i strongly feel it is the wheel bearing but dont know how to troubleshoot

Re: loud roaring in right front tire.

try doing some hard cornering at speed, such as freeway offramps, fast cornering in empty parkinglots, etc.

Listen for a change in the tone, pitch or volume of the roaring noise when cornering. Bad wheelbearings will often change the noise they make when subjected to side-loads.
If it does change, the wheel bearings are definitely at fault. Consider changing the bearings for both front wheels at the same time.
