tach in a 01 hd

looking to install a 5" race tach in a 01 silverado 2500hd with the 6.0L didn't know what wire i would have to tap into for a signal wire or if this was even possible.

Looking at the Autometer website, they recommend that you call them ((815) 899-0801 or TOLL FREE at 866-248-6357) to find out if you have a tach signal to splice into.

Called autometer and was told to tap into the White Wire coming out of the Red Connector at the pcm(pin# 10) and to set tach as a 4cyl.
