Radio screen LED readout question

Just bought a 1995 Lesabre Limited with Radio/Cassette player. When car is first started up, Radio screen humms/buzzes for a few seconds, goes to "ERR" on screen and then is quiet. Everything then works OK, including all FM/AM, buttons, settings, etc. What is happening? Anyone have a clue? Thanks.
