1994 Buick Lesabre performance, cruise control, and A/C

This is probably good info for the Park Avenue and Century models also with the 3800 V6. Two quick items to post, linked to another post.
First, I fixed many problems determined to be initially in the vacuum system by replacing the two line check valve located just past the vacuum tree on top of the engine. This fixed a fading cruise control, along with some performance, and also fixed the a/c heater ventilation damper from shifting from the top vents to the floor vents, while accelarating (which it really wasn't). This is a $5 part on the "Help" parts hooks and is very very common, not Buick specific.
Second, perfomance was still not good. I could not accelerate quickly from a stop or be able to accelerate immediately when cruising. By unplugging the mass air flow sensor - MAF, I could manually pump the accelerator under the hood and see an immediate change. Plugging it back in showed and pumping the accelerator showed the same dogged performance. I pulled the MAF out, cleaned the little "crystal" sensors (one was very dirty) with electronics spray and a light brush, and perfomace was perfect. Remember, this was my problem, and my not be yours. Total time it would take to make these changes 1 hour. Total cost $10 (including spray and brush). Good luck!

FYI. The two-way check valve from HELP! is part #47150. Very very common.
