Radio code E13

Keep getting an E13 code on my cassette radio for a stock radio in my 95 bonneville. Any idea what that means or how to fix it?

Thanks!

The tape deck load gear is broken, cracked, stuck and it would cause that code.

E13 means "Tape Communication Error". It is caused by the
microprocessor reading speed pulses from the tape deck either too fast
or too slow.

If it s Broken, And you need to use it, i would buy another Radio. lol

Re: Radio code E13

THanks for the information.

The weird things is that after a week it just starts working again. No idea how or why but this is the 2nd or 3rd time it's happened. Time to replace it if I can even FIND a good cassette player to install again!
