loose steering
I have a 91 Silverado. It has tilt steering and wobbles. I have been told the 4 bolt down in the column are loose. Is it a big chore to fix?
I have a pivot tool on order from snap on. I also found the bearing at the top is loose seems to be bad. Does anyone know where I can get the upper and lower bearing besides the dealer, I have checked at several of my local supply houses. Thanks for any advice. I did read an article on the web about repairing it. |

Re: loose steering
Theyre not bad, just remember to put lock tite on the screws and continuously check to make sure that your high beams work.
Also you will need a steering wheel puller.

Re: loose steering
Thanks, I got it fixed. Just had to take my time and patience. I thought I was going to break my pivot puller though. One came out easy and the other would not budge. I used a screwdriver from the back side while the puller had tension and pried on it. It was just enough to get it started. Thanks
