how to take off the left dog bone/ engine braket

I'm trying to replace the head gasket and the left dog bone engine braket is in the way, is there a way to get it off or is it welded on? or is there a way to work around it?

this is the lumina euro sedan with a 3.1 v6 and its a 91

Isn't your dog bone attached with the two metric bolts?
