94 Civic With Del Sol Motor?

My friends has a 94 civic HB with a Del Sol Si (canada) Vtec in it?
I dont even think its a Vtec...Would that be fast? 1/4mile? 0-100km/h?

im pretty sure del sols only came with SOHC non-vtec engines unless it was the del sol vtec which has the B16a which is a DOHC vtec engine and if it is that then yes.

that engine with I/H/E to a YS1 in 2600 pounds runs a high 14/ low 15

now my hatchback weighs 2100 pounds (94) so yes if it is the b16a it will be pretty fast.

Del sols had the non vtec D15, the vtec single cam D16z6, and a few had the B16 motor....

ok, sorry. I thought the only del sol with vtec was the one with the B16a and the other two had different power outputs but not cuz of vtec(as well as different displacements) like for example isnt the 94 prelude s a H22 non vtec and then the si is like H23 non vtec and then the prelude vtec is the H22A vtec. (i probably got the wrong code for the S and SI)but isnt it like this-

S - no power, no vtec
SI still no vtec but has some power
VTEC (name says it all) vtec and lots of power

so the del sol is like this right-

S - D15?
SI - D16Z6
SI VTEC - B16a3

The thing is, I thinks its a Del sol non-vtec because, he raced agaisnt a stock saturn sc2 and the saturn won... the del sol guy has intake and exhaust and i think he has a chip...so what do you think?

well when you see him make sure you have a rag or something ask him to pop his hood if the block is greasy and dirty like most clean off the little space that has the engine code stamped into it and look if it says d16z6 then its a SOHC VTEC, and just because he has VTEC doesent mean he cant loose or drive for that matter

if the person can drive it should be respectable, if they arent a good driver then no not really
