96 GSX 600F vs 1st Gen Teg!?!

So I am cruising down the 405 doin a mild 80mph. It's cold as a witches tit in a brass bra so I am tucked in when up comes a very riced out Teg. I can't help myself but laugh and check it out!

Massive wing....check
cut springs.....check
way too many gauges....check
random stickers....check
faded original paint...check
fireball out the exhaust....check?!?

Yeah, he had my interest....so I downshift and jump a little, he notices and goes down a gear too.

So at this point I shift to 3rd and sit at 9K RPM and wait for him to go. He takes off, slowly at first so I wait till he has some momentum and I get on it. We slowed down as we were staging up so the race started at about 70. From 70 to 90 we were pretty even much to my surprise. When I shifted again, I left him and by 130 I had 3 lengths on him almost instantly. Well, considering I was now doing 55 over the speed limit I decided to let off. He didn't do the ricer flyby either, he went a little passed me and another fireball erupted lighting up the night sky. He came alongside and gave me a thumbs up. All in all fun!

Moral of the story....it was still rice even with fireballs!

Re: 96 GSX 600F vs 1st Gen Teg!?!

I have a hard time believing the Kan-o-tuna would do 130mph.

I rode it... scared the hell out of me just doing 100-110mph with the worn out suspension and rock hard tires. Wasn't getting 'head shake', but just wasn't 'stable'... haha

It's a world of difference compared to the Triumph... it would pull 130-140mph stupid easy. Scarier part is it felt so right to be traveling that fast on that bike. Katana... for me, not so much. haha

Yes, and you weigh 90 less than me at least lol.

Also I adjusted the chain, switched out the air filter, new plugs, adjusted the carbs and cleaned them, fixed the exhaust from the time you rode it till now.

It tops out at 140 now.
