Dual exhaust question

Here's a question... could I install a true dual exhaust with two cats, two mufflers, etc. in my 96 2500, if I keep the O2 sensors hooked up on one bank? Or will my computer not like this? I figure there will be half as much exhaust gas entering one of the converters, so will the difference in the readings on the front and back O2 sensor be about the same?

If not, could I somehow splice two additional sensors into the new side?

Is any of this worth it, or are the cat-back systems just as good?

Re: Dual exhaust question

i have a '97 ram 1500 and i put a cat-back system on it with a single cherry bomb and dual tips. just about anything is better than stock because when i put the exaust on it i noticed quite a boost of power. i wouldnt mess with the O2 sensor personally. i think just a cat-back is just as good.
