04 T&C airbag light

I removed the passenger seat last night so that I could pull the carpet up and let it dry. (A/C is leaking water into cabin) Today my wife noticed the airbag light has been on. Did I induce this when I removed the seat? I have since learned that I should have disconnected battery first. Can I reset the light or is that a dealer only thing. Appreciate the help.

Re: 04 T&C airbag light

How many wires did you disconnect when you took the seat out? If it has side impact airbags the airbag is in the seat. Some seat belts have pretensioners in them. Could be when you put the seat back in and reconnect everything the light will go out.

Re: 04 T&C airbag light

There were only two wires in the connector. I thought it might be a weight sensor. Not sure if this car has that capability. Anyway, I disconnected the battery, reconnected connector, left battery disconnected about 15 min and reconnected. Light has been out since. I should be good to go. If you know what the wires go to, I would be interested in knowing.
