Angry driver/passenger vertical front windows scratches

noted this on our 08 escape. 2 months into ownership. the scratches on the outside of the glass.
is this common?
you can feel the scratch with your fingers running horizontal. Assuming its caused by internal means.
Factory defect? warranty?

Re: driver/passenger vertical front windows scratches

It's not common but is probably a defect from the factory. I'd take it back and see if they could either replace it or buff the scratches out.
