I don't have one as JWT can't / refuses to crack the 97+'s code, but I've read a bit about them. Fire away and I'll see if I can answer some of your ?'s.

i just wanna know how long it'd take for them to reprogram my ecu and why there isn't just a replacement ecu application like for honda's.,how much shittier is my gas mileage gonna be, how much more modification can i do after i install the new ecu before they have to reprogram it (if at all).would it be better to do all the other modifications i want first and then get the ecu reprogrammed?

You'll actually save on gas as the ECU reprogram actually leans the fuel out. This was confirmed by org member Dave B. He noticed a 2-3 mpg increase after installing, even with more spirited driving.

It takes them anywhere from 3-8 weeks. I'm pretty sure that, with a deposit, they'll send you a temporary ECU to use until you get yours back.

As far as doing other mods first, I'm not really sure if they would have to reprogram it, but I would just tell them what you're going to have done (realisticly) as if you already have it done. But, this is not a beginner mod. I would HIGHLY recomend that you have MEVI, I/Y/E, and possibly an UDP before you go ahead with this. I mean, why go ahead with this expensive mod unless you have all of the basics out of the way first.

Hope this helps. Hit me with any more ?'s about this and I'll do my best to help you out. (I have search privledges on the orgy:right: )

The ECU should be one of your last mods. Look for the JWt ECU with the 7200 rpm rev-limiter. That combined, with a MEVI, is just as good as a supercharger.

You want the 7000 rpm limiter. The 7200 rpm limiter puts you too close to valve float and the difference in gains between 7K and 7.2K is very minimal.

Pick: I couldn't agree with you more about it being one of the last mods that should be done.

I saw that a VI shows minimal gains (in the 1/4), maybe even none with a 5spd, even with a ECU at 7200 rpm. You'll get more gain with a ECU.

That's because most of ther MEVI power comes above 6500 rpm. The two combined give you an assload of high end power,
