1994 jetta 2.0 stalling out

I have a vw jetta 2.0 it stalls out then will have power again or sometimes will stall out when I give it gas at a stop light. I can be driving on the expressway the car will stall out and coast and then the motor will come back to normal with power. I don't know what could be the problem bad coil, fuel pump, injectors?

my dad had this problem on our gmc. He put in (I dont know what it is called) but you pour it into the gas tank to clean the fuel system. and then you take it out on the freewaya and go like 80 mph. or you can also use half of a tank of 92 fuel. and do the same thing. Hope it helps.
