Monogram Lamborghini Countach

I was inspired to build one by Cannonball Run (1981), so I picked an 88 Revell model up at a model car show. This is the first model I have ever taken seriously so it had to be something special. This is how far along I am. I will add tiny details and do some touch-ups as time permits, but with a full time job I've been working on the Countach for about a month.

(Note: a lot of trial and error, but nothing has ruined the model so far.)

This is my guide for coloring:

Too bad the doors don't open on mine!

UPDATE - I have detailed the engine with some gold on a toothpick. Picture doesn't do it justice, I just wanted a nice comparison shot.

Re: Revell Lamborghini Countach

I'm trying not to rush obviously, but if I don't finish it in 2 weeks, I won't be able to work on it for a while when I go back to university. I made a slight error above. I have been serious with a model before, but this is the first car model and model to paint that I've taken seriously. I finished a visible V8 engine last year, and it took forever since I was never home to work on it.

Re: Revell Lamborghini Countach

EDIT - I knew I was going crazy yesterday. This is a monogram, not a revell. Anyway I might start looking for a new model set, I totally screwed up the interior. 2 different coats of paint for the leather, wrong color, painted the center console like 20 times because of spills.

...I don't know how I could save it.
