Re: i hope someone can help me

The same thing happened on my 2000 Impala LS and it was the headlight switch ! The switch contains the electronic circuitry that controls dimming the lighting (as you mentioned ) when the DRL's turn off and the regular headlights come on . With mine , when the regular headlights came on , I would lose all the lighting in the dash cluster , the door power lock and window buttons , and floor mounted gear shift indicator . Replacing the switch cleared up all the problems . Good luck !

Re: i hope someone can help me

What canister ( behind the side panel ) are you referring to ? I'm not sure I'm following your question ? You say " put gas in it " , are you talking about the gas filler door on the side of the car ?

Re: i hope someone can help me

When you say charcoal canister , are you talking about under the hood ? I'm confused about what you're referring to ?

Re: i hope someone can help me

I'll be honest , I don't know the answer to that particular question but believe if you read my PM to you and go to the suggested sites , you can get an answer there .
