Angry Roommate Scratched MY CAR

SO about a week ago me and my brother completely wet-sanded, compounded, polished and waxed my car with 29,000 original miles. It is a 95 Impala SS. It is in ridiculously brand new shape, not a SINGLE scratch on it, hasn't ever been in the snow and is usually never in the rain. So today i go out into my garage and walk by and i notice a smudge on the hood and their is a 2 inch long scratch and sitting in front of my car is my roommates car detailing supplies, no one else goes in front of my car and he did it. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! The scratch is through the paint and i don't know what im going to do. That is my stress release for the day.

Re: Roommate Scratched MY CAR

that really really sucks! so sorry to hear it, crazy frustrating. I had something similar myself recently... So i left my car on our front drive, but we were having drain issues, so i specifically parked it away from the drain and carefully underneath the bay window that is onto the drive way (so that while i was at work the work man could have access to the drain at the bottom of the drive) Anyway, I went out to work and my boyfriend was at home and one of his friends (who i do not get along with, the only one of his friends i dont like!) came over. He took it upon himself to move my car to help the workman have better access to the drain, and guess what, when i came home there was a massive scratch on the bonnet, where it had been obviously scraped under neath the window when driven out without care! Yet he denies it. I KNOW IT IS HIM. phew, stress release done :-)

Re: Roommate Scratched MY CAR

Virtually all cars will become scratched/dented at some point in time. My Cad Deville survived 12 years in absolutely perfect condition. The first owner was an oldster who really looked after it.

Last winter, my dad, when using the snowblower, was too lazy to take 5 seconds to redirect the throwing snow onto the lawn instead of the car. He covered the car in heavy, wet snow and caved-in the roof.

Re: Roommate Scratched MY CAR

He should have to pay in full what it costs to fix it. If one of my roomates scratched my VR4 they most definately would be paying up as I am sure they would expect me to do the same thing...taking responsibility.

I'm sorry, but that is hugely funny
