Unhappy 98 Ram A/C

98 Ram 2500 24v. 4X4 The compressor on my AC has quit working. I cannot find a fuse for it, either in the cab fuse box or in the engine compartment main fuses. Where do I look next? 90 - 100* weather requires a good working AC.

Re: 98 Ram A/C

A/C clutch relay is fed power from 2 fuses. Pin 86 at relay is fed from fuse #9 in the junction block (inside truck).Pin 30 at relay is fed power from Fuse J in the PDC ( eng compartment). When A/c is selected at control head a ground signal is sent to the high pressure switch and then to the low pressure switch and finally to the PCM. Low on freon or excessive pressure can also shut the system down.

Re: 98 Ram A/C

Thank you jpb53. I'll check it out tomorrow. Definitely not too high pressure, it's been working for years. Shouldn't be low pressure as it has been working well and then all of a sudden quit.

Thanks again, Stan
