Trooper to Vehicross engine swap

Can I put an engine from an 02 Trooper in my 99 Vehicross. The engine mounts are the same. The engine is the same model, the trans is the same. My question is will the wiring harnesses match up

Re: Trooper to Vehicross engine swap

I don't know if the harness and connectors are the same, but there are going to be some differences. The ECM is different for one thing.
Are you getting the VX's harness, or at least the connectors?
If you at least get the connectors still on with a few inches of wire, you can splice the Troopers wiring on if the connectors are different.

The ECM on the VX should work, but If you want to be sure, contact Jerry LeMond (JLemond) on planetisuzu.com, he'll know.
