A/C clutch removal tool
Hi,
Does anyone know what threadsize it is on the tool used to pull off the A/C clutch on a 95 blazer (V6 CPI code Z) (Harrison R-4 compressor?)? As I do not have any possibility to rent or loan a tool I may have to make one on the lathe... (I need to replace the cluth bearing, will try to take some pics while doing it and see if I can post a how to...) /Freddy |

Re: A/C clutch removal tool
Well, I think this is a fun little project.
Made my own removal tool: thread on the clutch plate is about 21.5 mm x 16tpi I put in a M12 bolt i center of the tool to push on the compressor spindel/axis. When I got the clutch plate off I saw that I have a small leak of ref. around the spindel, but have no $$ to fix it now ![]() The thread on the spindel looks to be UNF 3/8, 24tpi, good to know when I make tha installer tool... Tomorow I'll try to pull off the pully and bearing... Some pics: |
