A/C and Shifting

Hello,

I've had this problem for about 2 years. The problem is when I have the A/C running for a period of time while driving, when I come to a stop and take back off, the engine seems to idle real loud but if I back off the accelerator and let it shift, it calms down. But once it starts, it goes on for a while. I have no idea what causes it but it does it only at times when the A/C is running.

Re: A/C and Shifting

If by "loud" you mean a "roaring" sound, it's probably the fan clutch engaging. If the engine is idling fast, the IAC valve may be sticking.

Yes it's a roaring sound. I'll check into it and repost my results.
