I moved my 86 to the street to clean my garage, when I tried to start it to move it back,it would not do anything. What could have happened? There are no dome lights ,the starter will not turn over the motor,HELP!I have had the battery on the charger for 3 hours.

Re: Dead 86 2.8

This certainly sounds like a dead battery issue. How long has the car been sitting? If it has been a while after the car is fully charged, clean the battery terminals before reinstalling the battery. Make sure you have a good charge on the battery before trying and you may even want to try to attach a jumper battery just to give it some help.

Re: Dead 86 2.8

If the battery voltage seems fine (typically 12.4 - 13.8 volts) Check the fusible link on the positive fuse block lead (it's the smaller positive lead, not the fat one that goes to the starter)

74-79 Ramcharger or 100, slant or no motor - not interested in v8 - Overdrive 4 is a big plus, NO hopeless rust buckets!!!
3Rd gen F body floor pans/camaro door skin (L)

Why is it I see so many "Proud to be an American" bumper stickers on the backs of cars made in Japan or Korea??????
