Sport Shift
I have a 1990 Honda Accord that's stuck in 'Sport Shift' mode. We have replaced the computer and a sensor in the front part of the motor and neither one has removed the 'Sport Shift mode. Any suggestions?

Re: Sport Shift
Isn't there a selector switch in the console or on the shifter?
Think I woulda started there if so...

Re: Sport Shift
The switch didn't make a difference even after we replaced that. Could it be in the electrical somewhere?

Re: Sport Shift
Yes, the speedometer works fine. The 'S' light stays on and it's won't come out of the Sport Shift.

Re: Sport Shift
The sport shift light is also a code flasher.....you need to use a jumper wire on the service plug...to retrieve the code. The service plug is a two pin female plug located underneath the glove box or it will be dangling down behind the passenger side kick panel. ONE LONG FLASH=10
SHORT FLASHES=1 |

Re: Sport Shift
Either way that is the reason why the light is staying on...to let you know a sensor is defective or a sensor is detecting a problem get the light to flash...find the code...repair the problem.
