92 S10 have coolant leak

I recently bought a 1992 S10 with what I think has a 2.8L motor. The truck has a bad coolant leak but I cannot tell where it is coming from. It leaks in a stream from somewhere in the lower left center of the front of the motor. The coolant is leaking a straight stream towards the fan. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

Re: 92 S10 have coolant leak

What i would try is drying the "stream" and refilling radiator (WHEN COOL) and start it up.. let idle 5 min or so and turn it off paying close attention to old stream spot. (could leak when pressurized) Locate both upper and lower hoses and water pump.. usually those are the first to leak.. Should have no buldging hoses or cracks... Try using a bright led light to see reflection of water leakage

Sounds like the weep hole in the water pump. It is made to do that as the bearing wears in the water pump so you replace it before it destroys you radiator from the bearing going out. Just replace the water pump.
