Dead on the Roadside
When attempting to set cruise control all instument panel lights flashed leaving the traction control light on, pulled over to check it out restarted the car and all seemed fine( instument lights off). Continued for about twenty minutes and the traction light reappearred on its own. While attempting to find a place to pull over the instument panel flash a few times then the car died. Would not turn over no starter nothing(instument panel, radio, lights etc.) come on. Replaced battery and still the same.
I can hear the fuel injector cylinoids and fuel pump but no starter. 2005 ford focus zx4 St 2.3 lt 5-speed manual |

Re: Dead on the Roadside
Use a DVOM or test light make sure the small wire to the solenoid gets 12 volts when someone is trying to start the car. If its getting power check if both sides of the solenoid is getting power. You can have a bad ignition switch.
