Question blazer chokes

every once in a while, usually on long trips my blazer will all of a sudden start choking...as if it were not getting enough fuel...I have to get off the road right away because it'll turn off soon after...once its off i try to turn it back on, it wants to turn on, but won't...after letting it sit for at least two hours it comes back on and runs normal again...It doesn't have the check engine light on or any other noticeable transmissions problems...After it goes thru its tantrum it runs fine as if nothing was ever wrong...I've replaced both fuel pump and fuel filter...

Re: blazer chokes

What year and engine? Were the symptoms exactly the same with the old fuel pump?
