First Oil Change/Checking level
Took my 2009 Malibu 3.6 for first oil change at around 1000 miles. Told mechanic oil change required 5.5 quarts, however mechanic didn't believe it would take that much. Mechanic insisted on starting and running the engine after adding 4.5 quarts for about 2 minutes , three at most and then checking was satisfied it required 5.5 and added the last quart. Do you think any damage occurred running the engine for such a short period one quart low? Dumb question, but just want to ease my mind. Thanks.

Re: First Oil Change/Checking level
I don't think you have anything to worry about.
