Welcome to AF!

Looks like nice work, the body looks great. Tamiya's Z3 is a terrific kit, mine was a lot of fun to build. Looking forward to seeing yours come together.

Re: Tamiya 1/24 BMW Z3 Roadster

Hello,

More progress on the Z3. The underside is now complete and all that is really left is the interior. Hope to get this build in the completed gallery next week.

Here are some pictures.

Now im trying to decide if I should build the Tamiya 1/24 Ferrari Testarossa next, or the Tamiya 1/24 Lamborghini Countach LP400 next. I'll probably go with the Lamborghini ... or maybe the Ferrari next.

Thanks for the comment. The silver on the wheels is how it came in the box. I didn't do anything to it.

Nice job, but the chasis could benefit from some shadowing, or at least some weathering (heat stain) on the exhaust. Either way looking good, reminds me of mpwrs great z3 build.

Thanks for the comment. I'll give the weathering a try.

Re: Tamiya 1/24 BMW Z3 Roadster

Hello,

Im here with the final update for this build. Interior was painted and underside got a little weathering.

For the rust I took liquid mask and put some on the spots I wanted rust. Then using an exacto knife I cut into the middle and pushed it out to get a hole in the middle. This gave it a raised look and I then painted it with orange mixed with some flat base.

Complete!

It is now finished and you can see the completed photos here: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...56#post6023856
