alternator prob!!! HELP PLEASE

shut my truck off yesterday morn and than this afternoon started it up and battery light is on and i drove it for awhile and the battery died on me. put new battery in and it had 12.3 volts but light still on. i took the plug with two wires on the alternator off and checked the voltage and there was nothing no voltage. So i am not sure if the alternator is bad or if there is a fuse blown some where. I just changed the alternator 3 weeks ago and had no problem up until now. faulty alternator or fuse? If fuse where is the it and is there a way to check? or is the alternator bad since there is no power to the two wires. thanks for your help It is an 02 Explorer limited 4.6 liter

i realize there should be voltage at those wires but why isn't there any? is that a sign that the alternator is bad or fuseable link or relay that is bad, that is what i need to know. thanks

According to the wiring diagram there is a fuse (fuseable link) on that wire. You'll have to trace it back until you find it. If there is power on one side and no power on the other than its bad.
