92 gmc code 54 help please

hi have 92 gmc 5.7 liter 4x4 truck, my truck is throwing code 54 which is fuel pump realy, does any one know if that means I need to replace the fuel pump or does it have a bad wire some where, I have already changed fuel pump realy switch.....
