Unhappy Radiator Fans Are Not Turning on

pulled over and the fans are not on. i turn the a/c on fans turn on/ okay i shut it off, and just turn the fan on, nope the fans don't turn on, i turn back on the a/c it comes back on, i get turn off a/c and the car, turn it back on without a/c no fans running, i turn a/c back on fans come on.

and when the fans are not on the radiator gets hot and starts to smoking i can smell and see it coming from the hood.

so i guess its a fan switch, at least it comes on when i turn the a/c on so i will have to drive with the a/c on so the fans to the radiator are running.

Re: Radiator Fans Are Not Turning on

I would say its the coolant temp sensor. less than $20 and 10 minutes to install. easy way to find out is to unplug it while the car is running. The fan should kick on and run.
