Talking 1999 Galant EX 4G63 Sawap to Evo VIII

Please, does anyone know if a Evo VIII motor can bolt directly to the auto trans that came with the Galant? If so can the stock ECU and TCM be used? I want a little kick than I already have! Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I'm not sure about the tranny but you definitely need the ecu that goes with the evo engine.

tranny would fit, but you would need a later model galant ECU to run the EVO engine, one that can be re-programmed. then you will need someone to tune it for you. if you are doing the work, just switch it to standard and grab an EVO ecu
