mpfi swap

I have completed my inventory of required parts to do the dpfi to mpfi swap on my 91CivicLx, however there is really no discretion on any forum or write up on whether or not wiring is the same or different on automatics and manual equipped civic/crx. I have the ecu and and engine harness from an automatic si, but I'm unclear on a possible difference in wiring guidelines. Also, in the event the swap does not work, can I leave the existing harness intact by just piggy backing off of old plugs wiring for a quick reswap.
Thanks for your help.

Re: mpfi swap

Follow the how-to, usually if none of the how-to's specify if its an automatic or manual, it doesn't matter. And I know there are a ton of How-to's for this swap because I wrote a nice one on here and I checked a lot of other How-to's to get different ideas to add to mine.
