Need help with new engine start

can someone help? I just had a 350 built for my 1990 camaro rs to replace the 305. I installed a new computer chip, and pretty much everything else is new too...The car will start and shut right back off with the new TBI, when I put the TBI on from the 305, the car will run but only if the map sensor is unplugged...I think the problem is with the TBI (which is new as well) but how can I be sure? What would the map sensor have to do with this as the other engine ran just fine....Please help. Thanks
