99 Chev Lumi 3.1...help

Upon acceleration engine sounds very rough and feels rough in the gas pedal. Also, at a stop i get a tremor feeling in the brake pedal (can also hear a slight banging sound) when in drive which makes me believe there is a transmission problem. Only thing is that the trans shifts perfectly fine, but can there still be a problem or is it leading up to a problem? Thanks!

Welcome to AF, his could be any number of things, without a onsite road test, tough to tell, a misfire is what it sounds like?

Do road test
I can give it a guess... that will not generate a MIL, because I have seen it a few times before. So lets check... No MIL right?
You have had a tune up recently Right?
at around 45-50 constant speed and flat it chugs also?
at idle, if you put your hand tight against the exhaust… it goes puff puff suck puff puff?
Is it ok Hot, or cold?
Is it ok or better cold

Get back because I am not going to go through everything…. I will make a mistake because of the lack of information
