Are you getting fuel pressure? Can you hear the electric pump prior to ignition?
How did you verify spark?
How do you know the coil pack is good?
Why did you change the crank sensor?

Check in the trunk to make sure the fuel system is not disabled.... the button should be pressed down.

Re: 99 escort no start

You should pull a plug and see if it is wet with gas. If it is, you have no spark or spark at the wrong time. Hook up an ignition wire to a plug and ground it as someone turns the engine over. It should spark. To check for fuel depress the schraeder valve at the end of the fuel rail. It should spray out. Be careful that no one is smoking or that there are no sparks to ignite it. I had like you have on my 97. Turned out that the harmonic balancer had separated from the crank pulley and wasn't signaling the CKP to spark at the right time.
Need more answers to diagnose this problem.

Re: 99 escort no start

Could be a bad relay in the CCRM. After testing if it turns out to be the CCRM I have some for sale in the following link for $60., a new one would cost you about $300. Let me know if I can help you.
