Question fuel pump

where is my fuel pump located on my 1988 caprice? and also how do i know if its working properly?

The fuel pump is located on the right side of the engine towards the front.
Just follow the fuel line from the carb, it goes to the fuel pump.
To check the pump, you will need a fuel pressure gauge to check the pressure output of the pump. Not sure what it should be but a service manual will tell you what the pressure range should be.

Actually it depends... If he has a 4.3L V6, he would have TBI and it would be in the fuel tank.

I guess I missed his other post. If he's a V8, you're spot on. But I didn't see anything listed in a signature.
