How much boost

so far i got hks exhaust, blitz dual sbc, greddy bov, blitz air filter, and a few more odds and inns. all the internals are stock, whats a safe amount of boost to run without meltdown? right now i'm at 1.2 and it feels good but i think i want more. it is a right hand drive mr2 with of course a 3sgte 5 speed japanese model. thanks all

I'm guessing that you already have a fuel cut defender since you're running that much boost. If you were in any other country (with crappy fuel), I would actually recommend turning down the boost to around 1bar, but since you're in Japan (and have better fuel), I guess you'll get away running that much boost, just make sure you use the good stuff. I wouldn't run anymore boost if I were you.

It'll be very beneficial if you could get your hands on a good intercooler kit, and a standalone ECU, and since you're in Japan, that shouldn't be too much of a problem. Those mods should quench your performance thirst, and if they don't, a nice fat Jap turbo should do the trick.

Good luck!
