Newbie steering question
I have a 92 Tbird. The steering wheel wants to jump slightly to the right in left hand turns. No problems in right hand turns or driving straight. Just left. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Newbie steering question
Jack it up check everything for play for starters, I would say you might have a bad connecting rod end

Also, check the steering rack mounts.

Re: Newbie steering question
when your going strait ahead is your sterring wheel strait across and dose it shimmy? if so i'd check and see if you got a busted belt in tire. if these are no problems i'd say it was in the rack and also check sway bar bushings and or stable lizer links and bushings if not rack bushings?

Re: Newbie steering question
Thanks for the advice, it was much appreciated. The car drives perfect straight, just left hand turns. After jacking it up, I can find no play in the wheel, tires are in good shape. Leaning toward the rack. Hard one to figure out.

Re: Newbie steering question
Rotate your tires and see if anything changes, you might not be able to spot a problem tire visually
