98 z24 problems

ok i have a couple problems. my car will start up fine run normal then ill shut it off. and once in a while ill go to start it and it will just start ticking really fast and engine light will go on then all power will be drained after a couple trys, boosting it while its like this does not even work. but we will detach battery cables and clean them then it will start fine. also when im driving the ets light e-brake light and a couple more go on, and all the gauges drop to zero really fast for abbout a second when im accelerating then go back to normal. please help

Battery connection? I`m thinking at one end of one of the cables.... or internally.... check each end of the positive and negative cables carefully.... if they all check out ok, try wiggling.... other than that, I think you`ve got a nasty gremlin loose in there somewhere... good luck
