I have a 2003 Tblazer, that after driving around and shutting off the vehicle, I smell what seems like burning oil coming from the rear of the vehicle. I have no evidence of any leaks. Any thoughts on what the culprit may be?

Re: Burning oil smell from trailblazer rear
Look at the possibilty of diff fluid leaking and getting on the exhaust or plastic getting sucked up on the exhaust and melting on to the pipes.

Re: Burning oil smell from trailblazer rear
Thank you for the reply. I figured it out - leaking right side rear axle seal. A great project for someone other than me.
