92 ciera ball joint removal

On my 92 cutless ciera, we drilled the rivet heads out from the bottom of the ball joint assembly and tried to punch using a biggggg hammer the rivet up out of the ball joint but the rivet will not move. Has any had this problem and how do I get the rivets out? Everyone has been helpful the past and any HELP would be much appreciated.

I did this a couple years ago on my 91 Cutlass Cierra. Had the same problem as you and had to drill out most of the rivet (not just the head) to get it to move. Keep drilling! Good luck.
