2001-3.8 engine ABS and Traction Contol light

These two light are on and I understand they seem to work in unison. I thought maybe the scensor was dirty with grime since my son drives it on dirt roads a lot. Took it to the car wash and sprayed inside the wheels as best as I could with engine cleaner. Then rinsed as best as I could with high pressure turning front wheels left and right.

Get in the car and drive home, no lights everything works good. Damn proud I fixed it. Go to work next day, Lights come back on, Crap!

OK, thought maybe I need better cleaning and go to car wash and repeat. Car good on way home, car bad in morning!

Note; the light does not come on when I start the car, only when I start to dive it about 50 feet, then it comes on!

No grinding, whining, or typical bearing sounds because I am familiar with this sound. I replaced front right bearing hub 15k miles ago!

How can I be assured that it's the front left? 12 and 6 rock test? Car wash again, only that side only! I hate to pay for ABS diagnostic. Maybe wait until bearing starts to make noice then isolate the problem?

Any simple reccomendations?

Unfortunately, the abs scan will probably be the only way you will find out the answer. It is possible that the other hub, opposite side is bad. I had one go out and had it replaced. I had it scanned and the other one was bad too. No noise or anything. If you want to just replace it and take your chances that is up to you. It is also possible that the hub that you replaced is bad again but doubtful. At this point it is a dice roll!

You can use a DMM and test the resistance across the ABS connector coming from the hub. It should measure around 1k ohms.
