where to find a set of Drag slicks/wheels??

Hey guys, ive been searching for the last couple of weeks for a set of drag wheels, probably just the rears.... for a supra that i will be building after i am done with my current street tuner version (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=959157)

maybe something that looks like this : http://www.acceleratedperformance.co.../blueSup_2.jpg

or anything close, if i had to i could use the factory wheels that come from the tamiya kit to put some beefy rears on, but would not mind a set that resembles a professional drag package...

thanks in advance, ive searched EVERYWHERE.....

Re: where to find a set of Drag slicks/wheels??

I thought I had some but I guess not. The only aftermarket drag tires I can think of are from pegasus and they are the re-release of the so-real slicks, but they are a full on top fuel size tire. If you can come across a revell pro-stock kit those should be about right.

Re: where to find a set of Drag slicks/wheels??

hey man, i came across a set that "looks" perfect for my application, but doesnt have the size.... the guy says "
They were removed from a builtup model car made by REVELL
which was the 1:24 Bob Glidden Pro Stock Ford Thunderbird Drag car "
so you wouldnt by anychance happen to know approximatly what size they are, or how much bigger they would be compared to the tamiya supra factory 17" wheel/tire would you? i dont care much about width as they can easily be changed, thanks in advace

Re: where to find a set of Drag slicks/wheels??

nvm about that, i just bought a set of 1:25 scale revell slicks off of ebay with rims/tires which are 1 1/4 inches tall in the back (just a 1/4" taller then the 17" wheels/tires) and 1" tall in the front, which is just about the same height as the stockers, they are just a bit wider in the rear at 1/2" and should fill in REALLY nice. hopefully i wont have too much trouble with mounting them.

i dont know if i can post links here or not, but this is w hat i got:
