93 lesabre blower speed

It seems like my blower isnt putting out enough volume, on high it seems like "medium" on most other cars. The vacuum lines seem ok (just replaced one recently although the prblem existed way before that), the blower motor is not too old, the evaporator fins seem clean and not clogged..so what's left? the resistor?

Re: 93 lesabre blower speed

I think that's just how hard it blows. I though the same thing, my sister's G5 blows much harder on high. Keep in mind though that the HVAC blows in the rear also.

Maybe this is a durability factor that was taken into account in the design. The faster the blower fan blows the more heat generated and heat=bad. I recently replaced the blower motor on my dad's van and its a 2002. It blows harder and probably burnt out. It only cost $30 but the updated resistor pack cost $70. Mine is still the original and these blowers run aroung $100+

I think it one of those things that you just have to not worry about.

I feel the same way with my 97. Noting wrong, just not as much air as other cars.
Mine has 4 settings. My friends 2000, has around 18. His medium (9) is my highest (4).
Chris.
