swapped 1988 f-250351 windsor with 1993 5.0 302 having issues!!

changed a 1988 ford f-250 351 windsor to a 1993 mustang 302, does the computer need to be changed? The truck has no power.Have had ALL kinds of issues. guy doing the swap works mostly on Chevy's ( hard fo me to EVEN write that word) anyway he was a friend and gave me a good price. The truck will run now after new fly wheel, new plug wires, new timing gear and chain, now do I need a new computer??? HELP???
