How did you get the decals to form over the contours so well? I am currently making this kit too and got the Scale Motorsport decals but they look like crap. They ended up getting all wrinkled and folded over.

Thumbs up Damn good so far!

Yeah 835, a big improvement over mine anytime! haha
Keep it coming man. I'm sure you'll do better justice to this kit than I did

Good details on the straws too hehe
Everything's looking good!

Now that’s a beautiful detailing process on this model _835_, well done.
Looks great so far.
To bad you don’t share with us the decal scheme you’re going to apply.
I’m real curious in any case.

Forhod : thanks for comment.

Jedi801 : i use Scale Motorsport decals, the air sniffer is made of 6 decals, and for each i made a template with tamiya mask.

chris (flyonthewall) : no, this is not the SMS template, i saw them, and they cost too much for what they provide ... most of the interior carbon patern were forgotten :-( but i use SMS Pe part on it.

chain : you do a top job too !! the only difference with mine is the carbon decal use.

OPM : from my point of view it was the most beautiful mercedes in 2001 ;-)

Nunno ( Gainsbourg ) : hum hum...you do the 2000 version and i do the 2001, is it clear enough ;-)

835 I wanna check with you.....

Let me rephrase....

There are some faults with this merc kit(not your merc but specifically this merc kit that I did and that you are doing), before you go on....
1)merc's front 2 steerings very stiff even without adding the straws.
2)Gaps in the back and front, so U need puttys.
3)The suspension doesnt line up correctly, 1 of the other reasons why I modified the suspensions.

I am wondering was it my kit or is it the same with yours?
Let me know, thanks.

so you're in for some body modifications as well, right? The rear side panel air-outlets are different. I'm more then interested to see how you solve this. I've been thinking about it too, but haven't figured it out yet.

As for the colour scheme... It could have been the 2001 24hr Service, but that car ran in 2001 but was a 2000 version, so that's ruled out. Let me think... aha, I think I know... it must be the 2001 car in which Jean had his first run and test, right? You being from Mozac (63) in France, it makes sense,

sorry huudo,
no body modification for a 2001 car, the scheme is 2001 24h service on 2000 car body.
but you are right, i am a fan of jean, but as you said the only scheme available for jean car is the D2 is use for test...i do not like it...

I should ask, since it's your thread and you were trying to keep the scheme a secret

Here they are. All taken from http://www.dtm.de

When it's about Mercedes - go ask Huudo
