speedometer/ odometer fuse 10 keeps blowing

2000 3.8l

I had that problem a while ago, and i first thought only the fuse blew. the first time i went for about a week without problems but recently i went through a 10 pack of fuses in 2 weeks. anybody any clever ideas? thanks as always.

Check your Brake Pressure switch which is attached to the bottom of you brake master cylindar ? It has an electrical connection. If its wet with brake fluid (due to corrosion), replace it. It's connected to fuse 10 and creating too much electricity and blowing # 10. Part should be about $ 35. Only takes 15 mins to change.

Thanks! Took a while was so busy! But worked a treat. The plastic was completely fried, no wonder. everything is fine now!
